Cadao Express has been a Richfield hole in the wall for more than a decade: a small room, a busy kitchen, and bowls of phở that guests drive in from across the metro for.
Family-run, from the kitchen out
Cadao Express is a family business. The menu covers the Vietnamese classics: phở with all the fixings, bún bò Huế with real heat, fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce, and bánh mì, in portions big enough to take some home.
In 2025 a new family took over the restaurant, and after a few months closed for a remodel it reopened with a refreshed dining room and far more seating. The dishes our regulars love stayed on the menu.
Vietnamese, with Chinese favorites too
Alongside the Vietnamese menu there is a long list of Chinese-American plates, from sweet and sour chicken to Mongolian beef and lo mein, so a whole family can order from one place.
Recognized in Richfield
In 2015, under its previous ownership, Cadao Express received a Food Safety Award from the City of Richfield and the Richfield Advisory Board of Health for excellence in food safety and service.
